You do not need to know the name of every hormone, arrive with a diagnosis, or read this website from beginning to end. Start with the question that matters most today.
I am noticing changes
Look at perimenopause and the symptom guide. A change in periods can accompany the menopause transition, but the pattern needs to be considered alongside your age, health and medicines. [1]
Write down what is different for you, when it started and what it interrupts. A useful description is "I wake three times and cannot concentrate in morning meetings", rather than simply "my hormones are wrong". Our symptom notes give you a place to prepare that account.
I want to understand treatment
Start with the treatment overview, then compare hormonal and nonhormonal approaches. Your preferences belong in the discussion. Bring your medication list, relevant diagnoses and the outcome you most want to improve to an appointment.
I need help choosing care
Use find care to distinguish a menopause consultation from psychological therapy, residential mental-health treatment and a wellness stay. Ask who will assess you, what they can actually provide and who will follow up. A beautiful setting is not an answer to those questions.
I am supporting someone else
Ask what would be helpful before offering solutions: listening, making room for rest, sharing responsibilities, attending an appointment or researching care together. Do not decide that every disagreement or emotion is a symptom.
Something feels urgent
Do not use a planner or comparison page to decide whether an emergency is serious. Urgent help explains when to use immediate medical or crisis support. This website has no clinical inbox and does not monitor visitors.
